Data deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your Spegla account and associated data. There are two ways to do this.
Option 1 — via Facebook
If you signed in to Spegla using Facebook, you can request deletion directly from your Facebook account:
- Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites.
- Find "Spegla" in the list of apps and click to open it.
- Click "Remove" or "Request deletion".
When you use this path, Facebook calls our callback, we record the deletion request, and you are redirected here with a reference code.
Option 2 — email us
Email privacy@klura.app from the address associated with your account and request deletion. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your account record and email address.
- OAuth identity links (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook).
- All registered devices and their metadata (name, platform, presence history).
- Any session-signaling records tied to your account.
Cloudflare edge logs and PostHog analytics events may retain anonymised or aggregated data for a further period per those processors' own retention policies; no personally identifiable data remains after your account is deleted.
How the Facebook callback works
When you request deletion through Facebook, Facebook sends a signed HTTP request to our callback endpoint (/api/data-deletion/callback). We verify the signature, record the deletion request, and return a confirmation URL that Facebook displays to you. This flow is defined by Facebook's Data Deletion Request Callback specification.
